Nowadays when it comes to wedding music, just about anything goes. There are no rules – it’s your day so the music should be a reflection of your love.
Of course, when we play for a wedding, even if just at your drinks reception we will often get through around 10 – 15 songs per hour. We don’t expect you to come up with a play list that long – although you can do if you want to.
Key moments for music
During the course of your wedding day, the points where you might consider including your favourite song would be:
Entrance of the Bride
Signing of the Register
Exit of the Bride and Groom
First Dance
“Shallow”, taken from the film A Star Is Born, occurs at a pivotal moment in the film since it speaks about Ally and Jackson’s conversations. Gaga wrote it from Ally’s point of view with the self-aware lyrics asking each other if they are content being who they are.
This was originally recorded as a request for a wedding couple who wanted to hear how their favourite song would sound on the cello and piano.
We love taking your requests and if possible we will happily record a sample of your favourite song so you can hear how it will sound when we play at your wedding. Our audio samples list is growing all the time and now has in excess of 50 songs and counting..
