Emma booked JAM Duo to play for her wedding way back in 2020 – in fact at the time I believe the country was still under lockdown so there was some uncertainty about weddings even going ahead.
Fortunately, whilst Covid is by no means behind us, weddings are currently going ahead as planned and this was certainly the case for Emma and Peter in the New Forest.
JAM Duo were booked to play for the Wedding Ceremony and the Drinks Reception which, even though it was the very end of October was still held outside!
Music for the Wedding Ceremony
Emma and Peter’s ceremony took place indoors at Rhinefield House Hotel in the New Forest, Hampshire. There were two songs to play at the start of the ceremony. First was Wonderwall which we played as the bridesmaids walked in. This was seamlessly merged into Pachelbel’s Canon in D for the entrance of the bride.
Music for the Wedding Drinks Reception
The weather in the New forest was glorious for Emma and Peter’s wedding day, so despite being the end of October, we were once again outside to play for the Drinks Reception.
We played for around 2 hours whilst wedding guests mingled and enjoyed drinks and games on the lawn at the rear of Rhinefield House. When we play outside, we generally add a little amplification just to boost the sound of the Cello. This subtle approach means we can still be background / ambient music but ensures that guests will hear the subtle tone of the cello and piano even across the lawn.
