The Theme for Luke and Holly’s Wedding at the Gara Rock Hotel in South Devon was James Bond 007. This was very apparent in their music choices and also clear from the moment you entered the ceremony room!

Bond Themed Wedding
Themed weddings are all the rage and this is the second Bond themed wedding we have been lucky enough to play at this year. Although Luke definitely wins the prize for the most Bond songs / theme tunes in a wedding ceremony.
Every piece of music we played was either a Bond theme or a famous song from one of the films.
The Music
As with all our wedding couples, we take time to understand their music likes, and dislikes. Before every wedding we then put together a play list on our iPads so we can seamlessly perform the songs which have been requested.
Music before the ceremony
No Time To Die
Skyfall
From Russia With Love
Diamonds are Forever
Live and Let Die
Entrance of the Bridal Party
Nobody Does it Better
Signing of the Register
Vesper Theme
City of Lovers
Exit of the Newly Weds
We Have all the Time in the World
The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony room at Gara Rock Hotel is nothing short of stunning. With exquisite views out across the sea and, certainly the day we were there, some perfect weather, the scene was set for a very beautiful wedding.
Prior to the ceremony the guests had been enjoying a cream tea in the hotel lounge. With the ceremony starting at 1pm, by 12.45 the guests started to gather. This was our queue to bring Bond into the building. We started with No Time to Die, the fabulous theme from the 2021 Bond film of the same name.
Right on time Holly arrived looking amazing, preceded by her Bridesmaids all in beautiful grey dresses. This was our cue to play ‘Nobody Does it Better’.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful, lead by the registrar from the Devon Registry Office and for the duration of the ceremony, outside the sun was shining. We love every single wedding that we play for and we get to meet some absolutely amazing people. This was definitely no exception. It was a perfect day for a perfect couple and we wish them every happiness as they start their married life together.
JAM Duo – Cello and Piano
We absolutely love playing for weddings. Even if they are located down some very narrow winding lanes as was the case today! The venue and the couple more than made up for the treacherous journey!!!! To be fair, it wasn’t too bad. Anticipating the Devon lanes, and the remoteness of the venue, we had pre-empted this by staying in a hotel in Paignton the night before!
This made everything a lot easier and also meant we had time for a civilised breakfast. Saturday morning traffic, particularly Southbound on the M5 can be unpredictable to say the least so, where possible, we often try to stay near the venues we are playing at to avoid not only an early start but also being delayed by traffic.
