For today’s wedding we travelled to Blackheath in the county of Surrey. Not far from Guildford, Blackheath is a beatuful location in the Surrey Hills and was the perfect backdrop for Claisse and Tom’s wedding.
The Wedding of Claisse and Tom
13 November 2021
St Martin’s Church, Blackheath, Surrey
Music provided for the Wedding Ceremony
The previous evening, we had stayed over at a Premier Inn in Woking. That was quite an adventure in itself. Prior to that we had been in Plymouth for the South West Wedding Awards and so didnt leave Plymouth until around 11.30pm, arriving at our hotel around 3am. Luckily Tom and Claisse’s wedding wasn’t too early so there was still plenty of time to have a leisurely breakfast before making the trip to Blackheath.
Arriving in plenty of time, we set up in the church as we had been instructed via a zoom with Tom and Claisse a few weeks beforehand.
Accompanying a Singer
As well as performing as a Duo, today we had to accompany a singer along with some congregational hymn singing. Fortunately with Jules being a church organist he took this in his stride and just carried on, business as usual.
The Wedding Music
Entrance of the Bride – Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley
Hymns – Amazing Grace, Shout to the Lord
Signing of the Register – Reckless Love
Exit of the Bride and Groom – Burning Love by Elvis Presley
After the service, the guests retired to the village hall just up the road for a very stylish afternoon tea.
