Music is an incredibly important but often overlooked part of your Wedding Day. From Ceremony through to Evening Reception, music plays an important part at all the key moments during your special day.
JAM Duo are a Cello and Piano Duo based in the UK who can provide music throughout your wedding day.
Day Time Wedding Music
As wedding musicians our day starts with your ceremony. Arriving in good time we will set up in the ceremony room so we are ready to start playing around fifteen to twenty minutes before the start time.
Music for your wedding ceremony will include:
- Entrance of the Bride
- Entrance of the Bridesmaids / Groomsmen
- Signing of the Register
- Exit of the Married Couple
The tracks above are just a small sample of some of the most popular requests we are asked to play for the entrance of the bride. However, JAM Duo can play anything at all. There is more inspiration for you on our listen page, but you are not restricted to this list. Just let us know your favourite song and we will arrange and play it for you. We don’t make any extra charge to find and learn new music. We love finding new repertoire!
Music for your Drinks Reception
After the ceremony, it takes just moments for JAM Duo to relocate to another space for your post ceremony drinks reception. Lasting around 90 minutes, the drinks reception is a chance for the newly weds to be photographed in a variety of locations around the venue whilst guests enjoy Champagne and canapés.
This might be inside or outside. JAM Duo can perform equally well indoors or out on a terrace. We can provide amplification or use our electric cello outside and have our own portable power supply so we literally can play anywhere.
Our only requirement for playing outside is good weather. Or at least not raining!
The Wedding Breakfast
When it comes to your wedding breakfast, JAM Duo can either continue as a duo or we can provide more a piano based set incorporating cocktail music and some light jazz. This gives your guests something different to enjoy whilst they eat as well as giving Anne-Marie a well earned rest. Playing the cello requires significantly more stamina than playing the piano!
Evening Music
After the wedding breakfast Jules and Anne-Marie will usually take a short break and then return to play for the evening reception. This generally starts with the First Dance.
Cello and Piano is a lovely romantic combination and ideal for your First Dance. With our repertoire spanning from Classical through Jazz to Contemporary Popular Covers, JAM Duo can play your favourite song, no matter what that might be.
Following your first dance, JAM Duo can then, using our electric cello, perform a more upbeat set either linking in to your DJ or as an alternative for more intimate weddings.
