This was our second visit to Brinsop Court. A couple of months ago we were here for Chloe and Ryan’s special day. Once again however the weather was less than kind and we found ourselves preparing for a ceremony in the library.

Starting with the wedding ceremony, JAM Duo (Cello and Piano) provided day time music for Sharon and Christopher’s Wedding at Brinsop Court in Herefordshire.
As the beautiful bride entered the library for her wedding ceremony we played ‘How Long Will I Love You‘. Whilst not the longest aisle, Sharon waited a little while so we did get to play at least 90 seconds of the piece for her and her bridesmaids.
It was a lovely ceremony presided over by the ladies from the Herefordshire Registry Service and what more could you ask for than to be surrounded by books in the very stylish library of Brinsop Court.
During the signing of the register we played the Brooklyn Duo arrangement of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love‘ and as they exited as newly weds we performed ‘Here Comes the Sun‘.
Unfortunately however the sun didn’t appear and so the drinks reception was also held indoors.
One of the things we love about Brinsop Court is their resident historian Jonathan who always looks after us bringing coffee and cake! It really is our favourite venue not just because of how stylish it is but because we are always looked after so well!
Today as well as playing for the drinks reception we were also playing for the wedding breakfast. So it was back upstairs to the baronial hall where the dinner would be served.
Setting up in the corner, we once again used our acoustic cello without amplification. This works very well for smaller indoor settings and provided just the right balance of musical ambience to suit the occasion.
The only request today was ‘No Coldplay!’.
