Describing itself as laid back luxury in the heart of Berkshire, Hurley House Hotel was the venue for today’s wedding. This was our first time here and we had a feeling it was going to be something rather special. We were certainly not disappointed.

The Ceremony
Today’s wedding was in both Portuguese and English and lead by Berkshire based Celebrant Frances Harrison.
We had two songs to play for the entrance of the bridal party – which interestingly on this occasion didn’t include the bride – the music I mean, the bride obviously entered!
We played ‘We have all the time in the world’ for the entrance of the God Parents followed seamlessly by ‘Here Comes the Sun’ for the entrance of the children. Victoria then followed with the song ‘She’ being played by the DJ.
Later on in the service we played two ‘hymns’. The first was John Rutter’s ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’ and then ‘A Barca’ which translates as ‘Lord You Have Come home to the Seashore’.
Simon and Victoria then left as a married couple to ‘This Will be an everlasting love’ by Natalie Cole.

Drinks Reception
After the ceremony we moved outside for a drinks reception in the glorious sunshine.
Moving our piano shell outside is actually quite an easy and more importantly swift manoeuvre. Within 10 minutes we had everything back up and running, utilising our lovely new Bose speaker and our portable power pack.
We performed for about an hour outdoors whilst the guests drank champagne and enjoyed some very stylish looking canapés. Then it was time to seamlessly move back indoors for the wedding breakfast.
The Wedding Breakfast
Back indoors we once again linked to the venue sound system which was a very simple process courtesy of the sound engineer on hand to help. JAM Duo then carried on providing music for the duration of the wedding breakfast until a band appeared on stage ready to play for the evening ‘party’.

We had a lovely time at Hurley House Hotel and really enjoyed being part of Simon and Victoria’s special day.
