Hot on the heels from our trip to Crewe, we had a few hours kip at home before once again heading out the door. This time we were heading East down the M4 for todays wedding of Katie and Benjamin. This particular wedding had two venues, starting with a Catholic Church in Sunbury on Thames.
Starting at the church, our first challenge was to get our piano shell in and find a suitable location for it during the service. This turned out to be far easier than we were expecting thanks to the help of the Catholic Priest who was extremely accommodating.
The service was beautifully lead and had some lovely readings incorporated. As well as ourselves there was an organist and Soprano who sang from the West End Gallery of the church.
Wedding Drinks Reception
After the church service we hastily packed away our piano shell and instruments and headed about 20 minutes down the road to The Runnymede on Thames hotel just on the outskirts of Egham in Surrey.
The Runnymede on Thames is a modern hotel set on the banks of the River Thames in Surrey. Conveniently located, just 10 minutes from Windsor and in close proximity to attractions such as Legoland and Thorpe Park, the hotel boasts a choice of riverside dining options, an award-winning spa and a range of fun outdoor activities for the whole family, both on and off the river.
Setting up outside, we were soon entertaining the guests whilst they enjoyed champagne and canapés on the lawn to the front of the hotel.
Using our electric cello and the digital piano all powered by our silent power pack, we were able to create a fantastic vibe whilst still maintaining the right background ambience for the occasion.
Before long the toastmaster was announcing dinner and, for today, that was our cue to head home once again.
We really enjoyed being part of Ben and Katie’s special day and we wish them many years of happiness together.
