Another wet June day and we found ourselves heading down the M5 to Quantock Lakes in Somerset. Just lately despite it being about as close to mid summers day as you can get the weather has been decidedly awkward! Today it couldn’t decide whether to rain or shine and so we found ourselves inside for the wedding ceremony of Louise and Tom.
The Wedding
Louise and Tom
Quantock Lakes, Somerset
30 June 2022
Arriving in good time we had a chance to chat to Christine, the registrar, before the ceremony commenced. We set up at the front of the ceremony room as instructed which did give us a good view of the wedding couple as well as the row of Groomsmen.
Without wishing to draw too much attention, we did wonder if one of them misunderstood the note saying which colour brown to purchase…. Or maybe he was more important than the others! Either way they all looked fab, as indeed did the bridesmaids in a beautiful shade of blue to match Louise’s bouquet.
Louise walked in, preceded by her bridesmaids to River Flows in You (arrangement by the Piano Guys). This is one of the first times we have played this piece as a bridal entrance, but it works really well!
Due to the weather (see above), after the ceremony we remained in the same place and the ceremony room was turned into a bar area and the doors were opened which gave wedding guests the flexibility of being indoors or outside according to precipitation levels.
We carried on playing a range of songs for another hour or so whilst guests mingled and chatted. All too soon our stint at Quantock Lakes was over and the guests were making their way into the wedding breakfast.
We really enjoyed today’s wedding and wish Louise and Tom every happiness in their future married life together.
