After just a week, we returned again to Llechwen Hall in Wales, this time to provide music for Emma and Lewis. Unlike previously where we were playing for Kim and Mark’s ceremony, today we were providing music for ‘Cocktail Hour’ which is the time between the end of the wedding breakfast and the start of the evening entertainment and DJ etc.
The Wedding
Emma and Lewis
Llechwen Hall, Wales
20 August 2022
On arrival we found the wedding breakfast and were directed to set up in the corner of the marquee space so we could be heard equally both indoors and outside. Once the guests finished dinner most migrated outside for some fresh air (via the bar of course!).
We were given a lovely welcome by Steve, the grooms father who also kindly bought us 2 glasses of wine!
Our brief was to provide music for an hour or so whilst the guests relaxed after the wedding breakfast and had a drink or two at the bar. As it was a lovely evening in this small corner of Wales there was also a nice outdoor space for the wedding guests and the bridal party to relax in.
Using our Yamaha Electric Cello and Nord Stage Piano we were careful to operate within the sound limits of Llechwen Hall. However, 86 dB is actually a reasonable volume and one advantage of an entirely electric set up is that we can easily adhere to and stick to and sound limitations which are imposed by venues.
Although our time with Emma and Lewis was only brief, we really enjoyed being part of their wedding day and wish them both every happiness in their married life together.
