Living where we do in the Cotswolds, we find ourselves quite well placed to get out onto the UK Motorway network. This is handy given the amount of travelling we do. The options are heading out towards Stonehouse to follow the M5 North, down the A46 for the M4 to the South West and Wales, out passed Malmesbury for the M4 going East or to Cirencester for anything else!
Today we were off to Hampshire which meant a trip along the M4 towards London for a bit. Being creatures of habit when there is an early start we tend to find a Greggs along the route for a spot of breakfast. Admittedly Motorway services are not the most stylish of places to stop but some days a Greggs sausage baguette and latte is just what you need! Today we found exactly that at Chievely services on the M4, A34 junction.

Staring in the ceremony room we set up just to the left at the front – this being the only available space. As is often the case in such rooms we were competing for space with the photographer, the videographer and the celebrants – not to mention the couple! But everyone was very accommodating and we all fitted in absolutely fine.
The Wedding Ceremony
Our brief today was to be set up but not play any music pre ceremony. Chloe was very clear that she wanted our music to be a surprise as she walked in. The chosen piece was A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. And so as instructed we remained quiet as the guests took their seats and the first music heard was when the bridal party were announced.

Wedding Drinks Reception
After the ceremony we moved across the venue to the nearby bar area where the drinks reception was being held. There wasn’t a huge amount of space here either, but the venue kindly moved a few things around and we set up in a corner of the bar which meant our music could be heard indoors and out on the patio area.

We think it is important to give our couples the chance to choose music for the different parts of their wedding day. Of course that’s not to say you have to. Some couples prefer us to put together a play list. This might be defined as ‘anything contemporary’ or they might specify they like or dislike musicals for example. Today however, Chloe had been quite specific in the choice of music. And she had made some lovely choices:
