Today’s wedding in Sheffield followed on from Vikki and Aaron’s wedding yesterday in Wolverhampton. This meant rather than going home we stayed overnight at a hotel near Chesterfield which left only a 15 minute drive to get to today’s venue. It was also part of our weekend plans which involved Jules playing the organ at Durham Cathedral on both the Saturday evening and Sunday, but more on that in a separate post.

With easy access from the carpark, we were soon set up ready for today’s wedding ceremony. The venue had kindly put out two chairs for us at the back of the ceremony room with just enough space for us to set up our Nord Stage Piano with room for Anne-Marie to bow her Cello.

The Venue
Built in 1772 and steeped in history, Aston Hall Hotel has been lovingly restored and updated with a cool, contemporary design which is high in style but has kept original features very much intact to become the luxury hotel in Sheffield. Jules and Anne-Marie love playing for weddings in Yorkshire. Indeed Anne-Marie studied music at the University of Sheffield, so knows the area well and Jules has family connections here too.
