A breath-taking wedding venue just a short distance from Shrewsbury, Rowton Castle is among the most romantic and magical castle wedding venues in England. With acres of tranquil grounds, beautiful hotel bedrooms, English countryside, and impeccable service, this 17th Century Grade II* Listed Castle is located in the heart of Shropshire, England and makes for the most perfectly unique wedding day.
This was our location for Louise and Darren’s wedding on Wednesday 5 April 2023.
On arrival we were met by the wedding planner who quickly showed us the locations for today as we were providing music for the wedding ceremony, drinks reception and meal. With the weather being typically indecisive the entire day was being held inside the castle, and so whilst we had to move a couple of times this only took moments.

The bridal entrance featured a blend of two songs combining Bridgerton with The Greatest Showman. We always love it when brides ask for two songs as this gives us a chance to be imaginative and creative – Jules always loves the challenge of improvising seamlessly between two songs to fit the bridal entrance exactly as it happens live.
Contrary to what you might think this is not something we rehearse or practice – Jules just makes it happen on the day regardless of what key or speed each song is. There’s always a way to somehow transition the song!
Drinks Reception
After the ceremony we moved into the lounge / bar area for the drinks reception.
Louise had chosen some lovely songs for this part of the day which included:

Wedding Breakfast
We then returned back to near the ceremony room which had be turned into the space for Louise and Darren’s wedding breakfast.
We particularly liked the fablous cake which had a little secret around the back! This also explained the request to play the Batman Theme as Louise and Darren entered for their meal! In fact they held back until the ‘dramatic moment’ which hopefully we captured to perfection! Certainly seemed to create a great atmosphere on the day!
