Today we were in Hampshire for the delightful wedding of Eleanor and Tom at Gilbert White’s House on the edge of the South Downs National Park.
About the Venue
Enjoy your day in the 16th century Hampshire Barn, with glorious views over tranquil meadows, or for a more intimate ceremony & reception, the historic house and White’s Bistro. The Great Mead affords a charming location for an outdoor reception. Whether this is a marquee, teepee, bell tent, etc. you will be surrounded by meadow with views to the house and across parkland.
The Wedding Ceremony
Setting up at the rear of the ceremony room gave us a great view of the wedding ceremony.
The music Eleanor had chosen for the ceremony was:
Bridal Entrance
Today – John Denver
Signing
Can’t Help Falling in Love
Exit
The US Office theme tune
The entrance song by John Denver was a new one for us and it’s actually another great song and so we will be looking to add this to our recorded tracks in the next few weeks – you can already hear well over 200 songs by heading over to our listen page.
The Drinks Reception
Fortunately on this occasion we were able to remain in the same location for the outdoor drinks reception. Whilst it only takes us 10-15 minutes to relocate (depending on the distances involved), it is always easier just to stay in site if we are in such a place where the music can be easily heard.
Today it was simply a matter of keeping the barn doors open onto the terrace where the drinks were being served. This also meant we could carry on playing immediately after the ceremony which ensured the couple had continuous music.
We really enjoyed being part of Eleanor and Tom’s wedding in Hampshire and we wish them every happiness in their future married life together.
