Today we started at St Bartholomew’s Church near Bromsgrove in the small village of Tardebigge for Rob and Caitlin’s stunning wedding ceremony. Our role here was to provide music for the entrance of the bride, the couple exit and for Jules to play the organ for the hymns as well as accompanying a solo singer.
The music for the ceremony chosen was:
Pre Ceremony
Thinking out loud – Ed Sheeran
Trumpets – Jason Derulo
Rather be – clean bandit
Halo – Beyonce
Everything – Michael Buble
(Whatever order you think is best)
Bridal Entrance
Can’t help falling in love – Canon in D
Signing
La vie en rose (accompanied by Donaghue Quartet).
Hallelujah (accompanied by Donaghue Quartet)
Exit
This will be an everlasting love (Jam Duo)
After the ceremony we moved to Hogarths Stone Manor near Kidderminster for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. It was during the wedding breakfast that we learnt of a family tradition whereby a cat once belonging to Caitlin’s grandparents we believe, is handed down to each successive generation but in taxidermy form.
Whilst this may seem somewhat unusual it was nevertheless well received by the couple and their guests. And gave Jules the opportunity to play ‘With Cat Like Tread’ whilst the gift was presented.
We also particularly liked Caitlin’s stunning hand painted dress which looked absolutely beautiful on her.
