Today we headed to the Southern edge of Wiltshire for Jennifer and Joe’s wedding in the glorious surroundings of Salisbury Cathedral.
Trinity Chapel is at the eastern end of the Cathedral. It has fantastic stained glass windows, which are quite inspiring. These windows can be seen all from the other end of the cathedral, near the entrance. The windows, known as the Prisoners of Conscience windows, were created by French glazier Gabriel Loire of Chartres, unveiled in 1980.
The cathedral car park is quite a trek from the cathedral which initially was not easy for us carrying kit. However a verger then felt sorry for us and allowed us to park near the main entrance which made everything a lot easier.
We were then set up in good time ahead of today’s wedding and so there was even time for a spot of lunch in the cathedral refectory before we were due to start playing.
