Having been in Edinburgh yesterday for a wedding proposal, today we stayed local and were at Bayley and James’ wedding held at Elmore Court in Gloucestershire.

Elmore Court is a unique and award winning Sustainable Wedding and Events Venue in Gloucestershire.

The house was originally established as a home in the 13th Century and has views over the Cotswolds and River Severn.

The same family opened it up for fun and games in 2013.

Hired on an Exclusive use basis for weddings and parties, Elmore Court includes a historic stately home and its grounds, a soundproof rammed earth party venue, amazing food, fine wine, boundless music and a large slice of love…

This was the venue for today’s beautiful humanist wedding between Bayley and James.

The Wedding Ceremony

Today’s ceremony was lead by humanist celebrant Anne Molloy who is based in Canterbury, Kent. You can find out more about her by visiting her website.

What is a Humanist Wedding?

A Humanist wedding is a non-religious ceremony, which puts the couple at the heart of their wedding. It’s completely inclusive, giving you the opportunity to be married, in a way that is personal to you.

“Your wedding, your way” is a phrase Humanist celebrants like to use, as a Humanist wedding allows you to choose the place, the time, the structure and the content of your wedding ceremony.

Music During the Ceremony

The bridal entrance was a blend of three songs. Starting with the Parent’s entry – Time to Say Goodbye, we then blended:

Bridesmaids – Saturn – Sleeping at last
Bride – Light my love – Greta van fleet

Prior to the ceremony we had played Saint-Saens – The Swan and there was also a hymn half way through – Amazing Grace.

At the point of the Handfasting we played Hold my Girl by George Ezra and the couple exit was All the Small Things by Blink 182.

The Drinks Reception

Today the drinks reception was held indoors and so we swiftly moved our instruments and PA system whilst the confetti shot was being taken which meant we were ready within moments to carry on providing music for Bayley and James’ guests as they enjoyed canapés and champagne.

Some of the music during the drinks reception included:

May it Be – Enya
Shut up and Dance – Walk the moon
Cant help falling in love
Moon river
Lover – Taylor Swift

We really enjoyed being a part of this fabulous wedding and we wish Bayley and James every happiness as they embark on their married life together.
