We love playing for weddings at Coombe Lodge in Blagdon, Somerset and this was I think our fourth visit to the venue in recent times.
Bristol Wedding venue Coombe Lodge, is a tranquil oasis in a breath-taking setting, amidst the rolling countryside of North Somerset not far from the vibrant and historic city of Bristol. This country house wedding venue sits proudly on the edge of the Mendip Hills with an incredible view across Blagdon Lake.

Option 2 – Ceremony and Drinks
This was a big wedding and the ceremony room was absolutely full just leaving us a small space in one of the alcoves towards the rear of the room. Luckily however we can squeeze into most spaces – at the end of the day our job is to always find a way when space is limited.

After the ceremony we relocated for the drinks reception. Whilst there is a Grand Piano at Coombe Lodge, it is somewhat inconveniently located for the drunks reception and also makes it tricky for Anne-Marie to play without being right in the middle of things. The piano sadly is also not in very good order and, whilst vaguely in tune, is not a pleasing sound and so we prefer to use our own keyboard and electric cello.
We really enjoyed being a part of Jess and Tom’s wedding and their guests were very complimentary about our music during the drinks reception. We wish Jess and Tom every happiness as they embark on their married future together.
