Oxleaze is an organic farm, dedicated to preserving and protecting the surrounding natural environment. Set against the backdrop of the unspoiled Cotswold landscape, the land is managed organically, using sustainable methods to regenerate our environmental diversity.

A family farm dating back to the 1700s, Oxleaze Farm has stood the test of time and is a thriving business run as a partnership between Charles and Chipps Mann and their children Katie and Will.

This was the setting for today’s delightful wedding between Rachel and Ed.

Ceremony and Drinks

Starting with the ceremony we set up at the back of the room. Rachel and Ed had chosen an eclectic mix of music ranging from Bach to Muse – which we absolutely loved! The ceremony was the more traditional in terms of music:

Bridal Entrance
Bach: Solo Cello Suite No.1 in G Major

Signing
Saint-Saens: Le Carnaval des animaux, R125: XIII. Le Cygne
Clair Du Lune (cello version)

Exit
Concerto Grosso in G Minor, Op 6 No.8, Christmas Concerto (Arcangelo Corelli)

On this occasion, and particularly with it being December, the drinks reception was held indoors which meant for us we could continue playing from the same location. This saves us a fair bit of time and meant that we could continue the music without a break between ceremony and drinks.

In the drinks reception we had been given a very different set of music choices to play which included:

Africa (toto)
All the small things
Brown eyed girl
Dancing in the Moonlight
Starlight – muse
You got the love
Anything Muse
Anything Radiohead

Before the went in for the meal, Rachel and Ed had a discreet practice of their First Dance! Looked very professional to us!

We had a really great time providing day time music for Rachel and Ed’s Wedding and we wish them every happiness as they embark on their married future together.
