The Wedding Ceremony
Arriving in good time as this was our first wedding at De Courceys Manor, we soon found the delightful ceremony room with plenty of space at the back for our piano shell. We always ask our brides to let us know where they would like us to be during the ceremony and there was plenty of space at the back of the room as had been suggested.
Once we had set up and tuned the cello we had a nice chat with the Father of the Bride who then asked if he could have a go on the cello. This is not something we usually entertain but he was a lovely chap so we did allow him to have a quick play with the cello. On learning the value of the instrument and the bow however he soon decided a quick go was enough!!
Music for the ceremony
Danielle had chosen some great songs for us to play for her wedding ceremony, some of which were new to us. We love the chance to find new music to play particularly when it works well for cello and piano.
