Ceremony and Drinks Reception

The first impressions of Sneaton Castle are very much that of a fairytale castle venue. Nowhere is this more apparent than the beautiful chapel which was the setting for Bethany and David’s Wedding Ceremony.

Whilst we were setting up the venue staff were lovely and brought us coffee and biscuits which is a rare treat, usually reserved for registrars!

Starting in the chapel we set up at the back of the ceremony space. Our Black Grand Piano shell looked exactly right for this space and really enhances the look of our duo.

Bethany had chosen some great music for the wedding ceremony which included:

Pre Ceremony

  1. Feeling Good – Nina Simone
  2. For the Loe of a Princess – Braveheart
  3. One Day Like This – Elbow
  4. Tale as Old as Time – Beauty and the Beast
  5. Your Song – Elton John

Bridal Entrance

Edelweiss (from the Sound of Music)

Signing

  1. Beneath Your Beautiful – Labrinth
  2. The Joker and The Queen – Ed Sheehan & Taylor Swift

Exit

This Will Be – Natalie Cole

After the ceremony we had to move our instruments to the Horseshoe Bar to carry on providing music during the drinks reception. This was a bit of a distance across the front of the main castle but fortunately it wasn’t raining.

Whilst our piano shell takes a lot more effort to bring and set up, it does have the advantage of being slightly easier to move as we can carry more things at once given that the keyboard and all cabling is housed inside. It is just a bit heavy weighing in at around 100kg. But no matter, it saves Anne-Marie and I having to pay for a gym membership!

We really enjoyed providing music for Bethany and David’s wedding and we had a great time on our first visit to Sneaton Castle in Whitby. We wish them both every happiness as they embark on their married future together.
