Today we were back in Reynoldston at the fabulous King Arthur Hotel for the wedding of Abby and Jacob. Not too far from our home in the Cotswolds, the Gower is a beautiful setting for your wedding and we always enjoy providing day time music for weddings at the King Arthur Hotel in Wales.

The Wedding Ceremony
Our first priority of the day was to provide music for Abby and Jacob’s Wedding Ceremony which was an indoor affair in the beautifully decorated ceremony room at the rear of the King Arthur Hotel.

About the Venue
King Arthur Hotel is a hotel wedding venue located in Reynoldston, Swansea, on the Gower peninsula recently voted BEST WEDDING VENUE in South and central Wales 2023. This property boasts ample space indoors and outdoors for the happy couple and their guests to enjoy one-of-a-kind celebrations. A warm and inviting countryside setting, this property also manages to accommodate elegant and sophisticated touches. Ceremonies and receptions can be held at this location so that couples can tie the knot and celebrate at a single location either outside in the enchanted flower meadow or inside the magical venue, Avalon.
Facilities and Capacity
The capacity ranges from 60 to 140 people, so the King Arthur Hotel can host small and large weddings. ‘I-do’ occasions can be hosted inside Avalon or outside in the picturesque gardens. Vows can be exchanged as rings are swapped against the backdrop of well-kept gardens and the patio area.
Once the couple has been officially declared as newlyweds, everybody can congratulate them on their milestone. The cocktail hour can take place on the patio. This open-air site offers a space where beverages and al fresco hors d’oeuvres can be savoured ahead of the wedding breakfast and reception. The happy couple can slip away to enjoy photo opportunities around the grounds as everyone enjoys the milestone.
When the time comes for the main meal, Avalon can be rearranged. Wooden beams, large windows, and magical fairylights help to create a romantic space that truly comes alive when adorned with wedding decor. Tables and chairs can be set up so that guests can recline as culinary delights are served. A dance floor is also available, meaning that the newly married pair can enjoy their first dance as everyone watches on.
The Drinks Reception
After the ceremony Jules and Anne-Marie seamlessly moved their instruments outside to continue providing music for the drinks reception. It takes us just a few minutes to relocate as everything is fairly close by at the King Arthur. In fact we were set up and ready by the time the guests had finished participating in the confetti shot.
Abby and Jacob had left a lot of the music choices to us for the drinks but asked us to include a selection of ABBA, Coldplay, Scouting For Girls and Bridgerton songs.
The Wedding Meal
Before long it was soon time to relocate and head back inside for the wedding breakfast. With speeches first, we ensured our instruments were in place whilst the guests were seated so we didnt disrupt any speeches. Abby and Jacob had kindly provided us a meal which we enjoyed whilst they were giving speeches.
We then returned to the meal room and continued to provide a further 90 minutes of music for the guests to enjoy.
We really enjoyed being part of Abby and Jacob’s wedding in The Gower and we are grateful to them for choosing JAM Duo to provide their daytime wedding music. We wish them every happiness as they embark on their married future together.
