Ceremony, Drinks and Meal

Today we were providing music for Kirsty and Ben’s ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast. This meant we were starting in the beautiful orangery at Tortworth Court.

Setting up to one side of the ceremony area gave us a great view of the wedding and the bridal entrance for which there were two songs to play.

Kirsty and Ben had some fabulous music choices for their ceremony:

Pre Ceremony
All Of Me – John Legend
Perfect – Ed Sheeran
Every Breath You Take – The Police
My Heart Will Go On – Celine Dion
I Will Always Love You – Whitney Houston

Bridal Entrance
Canon in D x Here Comes The Sun

Canon in D – cello and piano
Here Comes The Sun – piano instrumental

Signing
What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
Congratulations – Mac Miller

Exit
Dancing in the Moonlight – Toploader

This was a slightly different take on the blend of two songs in that Kirsty had asked for Piano and Cello to play for Canon in D then merged into a piano only version of Here Comes the Sun.

After the ceremony it was a quick pack down and relocation across to the main house for the drinks reception in one of the bar areas. This was not made easier by the weather which decided at that moment to be raining! Nevertheless….. With a bit of effort we managed to relocate everything and set up again in the bar area to continue providing music as the guests enjoyed champagne and canapés.

After the short drinks reception we packed away again to move back to the orangery for the wedding breakfast. Moving around is a key part of the service we provide to our couples and it’s no trouble at all, usually takes around 10-15 minutes. Our only challenge today was the rain bucketing down!!! But no matter, with the aid of an umbrella we found a way to move and keep our kit dry. And before long we were set up again in the orangery ready to provide music during the meal.
