Today we made a return visit to the stunning Hawkstone Hall in Shropshire for the wedding of Amelia and Adam.

Hawkstone Hall is a luxurious wedding venue found in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. It exudes a sense of old-world elegance and heritage with a fresh, contemporary appeal. Built during the 18th century, this marvellous estate offers an entirely unique experience for you and your guests to enjoy.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal

Our first setup for the day was in the Chapel at Hawkstone with our Gloss black piano shell. Providing music for the Ceremony we set up to one side at the front of the chapel with our Nord Stage Piano, Yamaha electric cello and the gloss black piano shell. This gave us a great view of the ceremony. WIth the super acoustics of the chapel the music sounded fabulous too.

We always enjoy blending two songs together and Canon in D merged with a Thousand Years is a lovely choice. It just helps to make the bridal entrance even more special when the bride has her own song to walk into, really emphasising that special moment of the wedding day.

After the ceremony and whilst the guests were called outside for the confetti shot, we took the chance to relocate to the area of the hotel designated for the drinks reception with our instruments.

It’s actually a lot quicker for us to move with the piano shell as a lot of the cabling is hidden inside the shell – not only does this reduce the sight of cables but means we can pick up a lot more in one go! Within 10 minutes we had relocated everything and were ready to start playing again seamlessly as the guests were then called inside for the drinks reception.

Our third set up for the day was to provide music during Amelia and Adam’s wedding breakfast at Hawkstone Hall. Having discussed this with the wedding planner we had ensured in advance there was a space left for us to one side of the meal room so we could fit in without encroaching on the space occupied by the guests.

Towards the end of the meal the videographers returned with a preview of the video they had been creating throughout the day. This was the first time we have seen a professionally finished (well first draft I suppose) of a wedding video which quite honestly looked just as good as most people’s final product. All credit to the videographers for creating something in such a short space of time during the time we were playing for the meal.

We really enjoyed playing for Amelia and Adam’s wedding at Hawkstone Hall and we wish them every happiness for their married future together.
