From Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire, we travelled down to the South West to the delightful setting of the Oak Barn near Exeter for Gemma and Steve’s magical wedding.
The Oak Barn is a high quality bespoke wedding venue overlooked by the medieval St Andrews Church in mid Devon. Surrounded by picturesque gardens and the rural Devon countryside, this venue is ideal for couples looking for a relaxed rural wedding celebration. Katharine and John run The Oak Barn which features four converted historic barns.

The Drinks and Meal
After the ceremony we relocated from the balcony where we had set up overlooking the ceremony barn to carry on providing music on the patio under the shadow of St Andrew’s Church. We remained there for as long as possible but after around 45 minutes rain ‘stopped play’ and we were forced to return indoors.
In fact this worked well as we hadn’t realised the meal was in fact back inside and so we returned to our previous space on the gallery in the barn in order to carry on providing music while Steve and Gemma’s guests enjoyed some lovely food from their caterers. They had also been kind enough to allow us to partake – Jules is always very partial to a pulled pork bap particularly when it has been freshly made from a hog roast!
This was another fabulous wedding which we were privileged to be a part of. We would like to thank Gemma and Steve for choosing JAM Duo for providing their music and we wish them every happiness as they embark on their future together.
