Our first of three visits to Scotland during August was for the wedding of Ryan and Olivia at Hetland Hall. Located in South West Scotland this is a beautiful wedding venue and hotel, part of the RAD Hotels Group and we absolutely love playing for weddings here.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal Package
After driving up the previous evening, we stayed at a nearby Premier Inn which meant we arrived in good time for Ryan and Olivia’s wedding at Hetland Hall in Scotland. The staff there are always extremely helpful and welcoming which is why it is a favourite venue of ours.
Today the weather dictated that the wedding would be held indoors – initially there had been a plan for the drinks reception to be held on the outside terrace but today we remained in the bar.

With regards to the blend of two songs, Olivia had been quite specific about the particular bit of the the song Thousand Years she wanted to enter to. For us this is no problem at all and a quick phone call with the couple before the wedding clarified exactly what Olivia wanted and it was our absolute pleasure, as well as being extremely easy on the day, for us to facilitate this.
Music for the Wedding Reception
After the ceremony we moved into the bar area to continue providing music throughout the drinks reception. Here, Ryan and Olvia’s guests enjoyed drinks and canapés whilst we provided the entertainment. The weather had dictated that, certainly for now, the photos were being done inside. Whilst it is a shame when it’s raining it was nice that we were able to play whilst Ryan and Olivia were in the bar too.
We then relocated back into the room where the ceremony had been held earlier so we could play music during the wedding breakfast. Ryan and Olivia had opted for speeches before the meal but also very kindly had put some money behind the bar for us. This enabled us to get a meal during the speeches so we were ready to play throughout the meal.
When it comes to food at wedding, we never request this but we are always grateful of the option. Particularly as after Ryan and Olivia’s wedding, we were driving down to Nottingham for tomorrow’s wedding! But one cannot complain about being busy and for wedding musicians, being non stop throughout August is a given!
We really enjoyed being a part of Ryan and Olivia’s wedding at Hetland Hall in South West Scotland and we wish them every happiness as they embark on their married life together.
