A year ago we were at Shuttleworth in Bedfordshire for the wedding of Christina and Dan.

Roll forward to August 2024 and we were invited to provide daytime music for Kayleigh-Anne, Christina’s sister. It’s always a great honour to be asked back to provide music for other family members and it was fabulous to be part of a second Burt Family Wedding.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal

We started with the outdoor ceremony which was in a beautiful part of the gardens at Hockwold Hall. Fortunately we were able to park reasonably near to unload and had a choice of location which meant we didnt have to be in full sun for the ceremony. This year has definitely been a case of really hot sun at weddings or a downpour of rain with very little in between! Anyway the sun was shining down for this beautiful occasion which we were delighted to be a part of.

Kayleigh-Anne and Matt are both footballers and so their order of the day was in the design of a match programme which looked fabulous. The music they had chosen for their ceremony included:

Pre Ceremony
Dear Theodosia (from Hamilton)
All My Life (K-Ci and Jojo)
Dancing In The Moonlight (Toploader)
I Will Always Love You (Whitney Houston)
Your Song (Elton John)

Bridal Entrance
Can’t Help Falling in Love – Canon in D

Signing
Always Be My Baby (Mariah Carey)
Signed Sealed Delivered (Stevie Wonder)

Exit
I Could Get Used To This (Orchestral Acoustic) – Becky Hill

After the ceremony we relocated to the opposite end of the gardens for the outdoor drinks reception where we carried on providing music. Today we were also providing music for the meal which was being held in a lovely nearby marquee.

Weddings are such lovely occasions and today was a reminder that we are very lucky to be a part of such personal events. I think unless you are a wedding supplier there are very few people who have the honour of being so involved in someones very personal family occasion. It was an even bigger honour for us to be invited back to be a part of Kayleigh-Anne’s wedding and we wish her and Matt every happiness as they embark on their married future together..
