Today we made a welcome return to the delightful Post Barn near Newbury in Berkshire. This is a beautiful venue and one which we really enjoy providing music at. The staff are always very welcoming and it is such an easy venue to be at with everything conveniently located – certainly from a musicians perspective.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal

For the ceremony we set up outside as the ceremony was taking place on the lawn to the side of Snelsmore House which is adjacent to the Post Barn.

Music for the ceremony

Pre Ceremony
Happy with Bridgerton style covers of contemporary, upbeat songs

Espresso – Sabrina Carpenter/Vitamin String Quartet
Love Story – Taylor Swift
Africa – Toto
Lover – Taylor Swift
Belter – Gerry Cinnamon (if this works..)
Heartbeat – Scouting for girls

Bridal Entrance
Wildest Dreams – Taylor Swift

Signing *
Iris (GooGoo Dolls)
Kiss me (Sixpence None The Richer)

Exit
All You Need Is Love – The Beatles

*For the signing the brother of the bride played the guitar and his renditions of the songs were absolutely beautiful.

After the ceremony we were able to remain in the same place to carry on providing music through the outdoor drinks reception. Here the vibe was Bridgerton and Taylor Swift – Lots of Taylor Swift (at the request of the bride).

We were very grateful to the venue for providing us a lovely tray of canapés! They were extremely tasty and very welcome!

After 90 minutes or so we relocated indoors to set up for the wedding breakfast just after the bride and groom had viewed the room with their fabulous wedding co-ordinator Georgie from Georgina Rose Events.

We set up in the corner of the meal room to carry on providing a selection of music throughout the wedding meal with everything from jazz piano through to more Briderton Vibes and Taylor Swift. Here the music was a little lower than outside as we are much more background during the meal – but equally we want the guests to be able to hear and enjoy the music.

The meal room looked fabulous courtesy of Etiquette Events Styling and we really enjoyed being a part of this great wedding.

We wish Lucy and Chris all the best for their married life together and would like to thank them for choosing JAM Duo to provide their daytime wedding music.
