Today we were back at Godwick Hall for the second time this year. Godwick Great Barn as it is also known is a 450 year old building set in around 100 acres of Norfolk Countryside. It is a venue we always enjoy playing at and today’s wedding was no exception.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal
Our first involvement with Colin and Lisa’s wedding was to provide music for their wedding ceremony which was held indoors in the main barn.

The Drinks Reception and Meal
After the ceremony we relocated outside to a convenient location under a tree for the drinks reception. Despite being late September the weather was unusually hot and it was great to still be able to play outside for the drinks reception.

After an hour or so we then returned inside to set up for the wedding breakfast. At Godwick, the meal takes place back in the barn where the ceremony had been but in the other half of the space. With the ceremony chairs having been cleared and added to the tables for the meal this left us plenty of space to set up a the other end.
We find when playing for wedding meals that it’s good if we have a little space between ourselves and the guests. Whilst it’s not a problem to fit into any space, even just a few feet between us and the tables gives a better blend of sound across the whole room.
We really enjoyed being a part of Lisa and Colin’s wedding at Godwick Hall in Norfolk. It is one of our favourite venues and the staff are always so welcoming and helpful to us. We wish Lisa and Colin every happiness as they embark on their married life together.
