Only three days after our previous visit to Coombe Lodge, we returned, this time for the wedding of Serena and Hiu. Once again we were providing day time music and entertainment for the ceremony and drinks reception.

Ceremony and Drinks Reception
We always enjoy being part of weddings at Coombe Lodge in Blagdon just South of Bristol. It’s one of the nearer venues to us as we recently moved house and now live in the South Cotswolds. Our journey took us through the centre of Bristol but on a Sunday this wasn’t an issue at all. And so having allowed plenty of time we in the end arrived two hours ahead of the ceremony start time.

Setting up in our usual location at the rear of the ceremony we had plenty of space and also some lovely music to play for Serena and Hiu.

Serena had requested Sparkle to be the last song before she walked in so she could hear it from the entrance to the ceremony. This of course only works if the bride is on time as we cannot see – but on this occasion it worked perfectly and Serena said she enjoyed hearing it as she was waiting to enter the ceremony.

There was also a reading during the ceremony and Serena had asked us to play ‘All You Need is Love’ by the Beatles quietly under the reading – this was a reference to Love Actually which turned out to be the couple’s favourite film.
The Drinks Reception
After the ceremony we relocated into the hall way near to the bar where the drinks reception was being held.
Serena and Hiu had asked for 80’s and 00’s punk pop/emo music, along with musicals and film soundtracks.
