When it comes to booking suppliers for your wedding, most couples will soon find themselves in a minefield of information overload. Nowadays it seems everyone has something they can offer you for your wedding.
All weddings will need some sort of venue to host the ceremony and of course a registrar, celebrant, or vicar to lead the ceremony. Alongside this virtually all weddings will have some sort of photographer, whether that be a family friend or seasoned professional. Then comes flowers, transport, food, drinks, entertainment, signage…. the list goes on.
When it comes to choosing your wedding suppliers, for most couples, budget, experience and reviews will be amongst the things they consider. This is all fairly self explanatory. The point of this post is not to tell you how to choose suppliers, but more about how to work with them both in the lead up and on your wedding day.

Trusting Your Suppliers to keep their word
Once you have booked all your suppliers and you are happy with your choices, it then becomes a relationship of trust.
We are only too aware of this when couples book and consequently trust us with the provision of their wedding music. Whilst we are professional musicians and have been in the wedding industry and indeed the music industry for a good number of years, the vast majority of our customers only know us via our website, our socials or our reviews. And so, trust becomes important.
Firstly you need to trust your suppliers are actually going to turn up! I know it might seem bizarre to think they wouldn’t, but you do hear horror stories of suppliers who take payment up front and then don’t show on the day.
This is why we write about each and every wedding we play at. You can find our portfolio of weddings under our articles heading on the website or by clicking here. As well as writing about what we played and a little about the day we include photographs of us set up and playing and usually with the couple. We do this, and indeed keep it up to date, to give future couples confidence that not only are we actively playing at weddings, but they can have confidence and trust that we will be there.
Trusting Your Suppliers to be top quality
Almost equally as important as turning up, is trusting that your suppliers will do all the things they have said they will.
Again this might seem obvious, but there sometimes a big difference between what a website might say an organisation can do or provide versus what they actually do on the day.
We believe in demonstrating, as far as possible, to our clients what they will get on the day. This is mainly achieved by our listen page, which has over 300 recordings of us made in our studio. Also across our website, and over on our socials, you can view photos and videos which show as playing at weddings, proving that the sound on the day is as good if not better than our recordings.
Finally it’s always good to check reviews as these will generally give you the most unbiased opinion of what others actually think. We are proud of our reviews which you can find on Google, across some agency websites and most importantly on our social media pages. We believe the comments that brides write on our social posts give you the best picture of our business. They help to confirm, without a doubt, that not only did we turn up on the day, but we provided music to a standard which met or exceeded our couple’s expectations.
