Tonight we were in North London for a wedding at the Regency Banqueting Suite in Tottenham near to Bruce Grove.

Hamza and Cristina
Regency Banqueting Suite, London
First Dance and Evening Party
Tuesday 25 February 2025

The ‘Regency Suite’ is located on the first floor of this beautiful wedding venue in London and is the largest banqueting hall. Elegant lighting and opulent decor makes this space a wonderful setting for weddings, award ceremonies, conferences, music and sporting events.

We had been allocated a stage from which to play which gave us plenty of space to set up our instruments and PA system particularly as we were utilising our Black Gloss Piano Shell. Our set started as guests made their way upstairs from the drinks reception and gathered for the meal in the Regency Suite.

Once the 160 or so guests had gathered Hamza and Cristina made their entrance to a blend of Can’t Help Falling in Love and Kal ho na ho ( Kuch kuch hota hoi). This was followed by the cake cutting.

A little later on after the meal, which was a fabulously tasty curry, everyone gathered for the first dance which was our arrangement of ‘Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri.

Some of the music we included in our set throughout the evening included:

Yellow by Coldplay
Mirrors by Justin Timberlake
GOT theme song
Halo by Beyonce
Din shagna da
Easy on me by Adele
Pee Loon (once upon a time)
The scientist – Coldplay
Photograph – Ed Sheeran
All of me – John Legend
Tum Hi Ho
Dancing monkeys by Tones and I
Ever glow – Coldplay
Eye of the tiger – Bon Jovi
Hero – Enrique Iglesias
Just the way you are – Bruno Mars
Lovely – Billie Eilish
Iris – Goo Goo dolls
Perfect – Ed Sheeran
Sky Full of Stars – Coldplay
Wonderwall – Oasis

As well as playing live music we also provided a ‘mini’ DJ service to the couple as they wanted to dance to some Asian songs. We don’t often do this, but we can play music through our Bose Speaker system and have the facility to make it sound similar to you might expect from a DJ. Sometimes we play tracks through our system for couple entrances into the meal for example.

This evening we played some tracks through our Bose setup for everyone to get on the dance floor before continuing with our more traditional blend of Cello and Piano.

We love playing for Asian weddings and often play a mix of Western and Bollywood songs. The Cello is ideally suited to this particularly with Piano accompaniment. We have a lot of music now on our listen page with an ever increasing selection of Bollywood songs which we play for Asian and Fusion weddings.

We really enjoyed being part of Hamza and Cristina’s wedding in London and wish them every happiness for their married future together.
