Today we had the opportunity to visit one of our more local venues and our first visit to the lovely Ridgeway Barns near to Swindon in Wiltshire. Ridgeway Barns is an exclusive wedding venue with fantastic views across the Wiltshire rolling countryside.

Ceremony, Drinks and Meal
We started in the main barn for the ceremony. The space had been divided up where half was being set up for the ceremony and the other half was being pre prepared for the wedding breakfast which would follow later.
JAM Duo were given a space at the rear of the ceremony area – under a tree which had been brought in for decorative purposes! But no matter – we can always work around florists and their decoration – the piano shell looked great with the floral displays around it.
Music for the Ceremony
Leila and Steve had made some great choices – we particularly liked their couple exit!
Pre Ceremony
A selection of classical music
Bridal Entrance

Souvenir – OMD, Brick – Ben Folds 5

After the wedding ceremony we moved outside onto the terrace for the drinks reception. Here there are fabulous views across nearby farmland and the rolling hills of the Wiltshire countryside in the background. It really is a beautiful venue and it was great to be playing here for Leila and Steve’s wedding.
Some of the songs we played during the drinks reception included:
The way it is – Bruce Hornsby and the Range, November Rain – Guns n Roses, Can’t fight this feeling – REO Speedwagon, Rosanna – Toto; Breakfast in America – Supertramp, Hold the line – Toto, Stepping out – Joe Jackson, Weird Fishes – Radiohead, Everywhere – Fleetwood Mac, Are friends electric – Tubeway Army, This must be the place – Talking Heads , Love my way – Psychadelic Furs.
We then moved back into the main barn for the wedding breakfast which had been turned around by the venue staff and looked stunning. Here out set included:
Every little thing she does – Police, Moondance – Van Morrison, Easy – Commodores, Book of love – Peter Gabriel, Strange Magic – ELO, Autumn Sweater – Yo Lo Tengo
We really enjoyed being a part of Leila and Steve’s wedding and it was our absolute pleasure to provide music for their special day. Afterwards we then set off to Heathrow to catch a flight to Copenhagen. For the first time in four years, we had managed to find 5 consecutive days off before our next wedding so took time out for a quick trip to Scandi Noir!
