Today we were in Wales for a delightful wedding at a new venue for us Rosedew Farm which is near to Llantwit Major in South Wales. Not too far from our home in the Cotswolds it was a really lovely occasion and one we were delighted to be a part of.

The Drinks Reception and Meal
After the ceremony we moved to the adjacent room to set up for the drinks reception. It’s very easy for us to move our instruments and PA system. Provided the distance from one part of the venue isn’t very far on average we can move in the time it takes to do the confetti shot.
Music wise during the drinks reception the couple had asked us to play Light jazz and bossa nova style music. We love this sort of vibe for a drinks reception and it went down really well with their guests.
When choosing music for your drinks reception and / or meal it’s always worth thinking about the sort of guests you have invited and what they might like to hear! Mostly we find classics and popular hits with a selection of jazzy songs from the 50s goes down really well with all age groups. Equally if you want to hear Queen or Metallica that’s also fine with us. You can hear lots of music on our listen page.
