Today was our first visit to the delightful town of Bawtry near Doncaster and a wedding at the nearby Bawtry Hall. Having left the Cotswolds at 7am we arrived with plenty of time to spare and so took a stroll around the town first. There was just the one charity shop which did have a number of jigsaws but nothing which particularly caught our attention. From there we found a lovely deli which provided us with coffee and breakfast before making our way to Bawtry Hall for today’s wedding.

Ceremony Drinks and Meal Package
The Wedding Ceremony
Starting in the ceremony room we set up at the back of the space. Today was a relatively small wedding with just over twenty guests and so there was plenty of space for us to set up our keyboard and cello.

The Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast
For the Drinks reception we moved from the ceremony room Into the bar area. From here we could fill most of the venue with music even for those guests who had ventured outside for the garden games. The music we played during the drinks reception included:

We also got the chance to meet today’s toastmaster and master of ceremonies Urban Thompson who you can see in some of the pictures below. He was an excellent addition to the wedding and it was our pleasure to work with him.
After an hour or so we then moved to our third location of the day for the wedding breakfast. This is a lovely room with views out across the garden and we set up at one end of the room giving us plenty of space and a suitable point from which to provide music during the meal.

We really enjoyed being a part of Lauren and Michael’s wedding at Bawtry Hall. It is a lovely venue and the staff were very kind and looked after us well.
