Whilst we love all weddings, and both Jules and Anne-Marie have a traditional background when it comes to church, church weddings can often pose quite a challenge.
First there is the access. Not many village churches have parking or even anywhere to unload. This can be a challenge when you are bringing in a digital piano weighing 30kgs, a PA system an electric cello and all the associated cabling, iPads etc.
Then comes the ceremony itself. Church weddings can often take at least an hour, not including our set up time and, because the bride will be coming from somewhere else, there is more scope for the service to start late. On average church weddings seem to start around 15 minutes late – the longest we have waited is 2 hours 5 minutes….
However, today, none of the above applied. We arrived in good time at St Marys in Wednesbury as the ‘on street’ parking seemed a little uncertain. However, as we arrived a lovely gentleman met us. Not only did he direct us to private parking right opposite the church but then opened all the gates so we could literally drive to the church door for the purpose of unloading.

Ceremony Only
This helpful approach on arrival set the tone for the rest of the ceremony. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. We were allowed to set up in the most convenient space and there was no fuss or ‘commiteeing’ made around the fact that outside musicians had dared to come into the church. In fact it was all very lovely and one of the nicest church weddings we have been involved in.
Sometimes it’s best to let our customers do the talking – this was the review we received from Lisa shortly after the wedding which you can also see on our google reviews:
We had JAM Duo play at our Catholic Church wedding the 16th November and they were absolutely fabulous. JAM Duo played for the guests arrival and we have had so many comments from our guests to say how lovely they played.
We had Canon in D for bridesmaids entrance and then JAM Duo blended into my song All My Life by KC and JoJo. I was worried about how the blending would work but I should not have worried as it was seamingless and timed to perfection.
They even went and saw the organist during the ceremony and took a wonderful photo for us, which we are very grateful for.
They really did make our wedding ceremony very special and we are so grateful 💖
