Cornwall, is a fair trek from our home in the Cotswolds, and this becomes even more apparent when you set off down the M5 on a Saturday morning in August. Traffic was particularly bad on this occasion but we had fortunately allowed plenty of time so despite several diversions and a journey time of more than 5 hours instead of the estimated 3 hours 45 mins, we arrived at the end of Cornwall in good time for today’s wedding.
Wedding Ceremony, Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast
Today we were booked to play for the entirety of the wedding ceremony followed by a short drinks reception and then during the afternoon wedding breakfast. Again taking advantage of our portable power supply it was easy enough to move from one room to another as the wedding breakfast was taking place in the same space as the ceremony.
We played a wide range of popular covers with a focus towards music of the 1970s and 80s which reflected the bride and grooms personal tastes.
