With Summer now in full swing here in the UK, the majority of weddings we are playing for have moved outside. Aside of a few days of rain at the beginning of the month where a lot of people’s outdoor plans had to be rapidly changed, we are now finding ourselves back outside for the wedding ceremony and following drinks receptions.
Outdoor Ceremony
Having your wedding outside is increasingly popular nowadays and the vast majority of wedding venues, whether that be a wedding barn or a hotel, are set up to host your ceremony outside.
The weather, particularly here in the UK, will always play a vital role in any outdoor ceremony and in a lot of cases will keep us all guessing until the very last minute. But if nothing else, we are eternally optimistic.
Wedding Drinks Reception
It usually follows that if you have an outdoor wedding ceremony then the drinks reception which follows will also be outside. Sometimes this will be in the same area, other times we find ourselves moving to a different part of the venue.
Regardless of the location outside, JAM Duo can play anywhere with our Grand Piano Shell as shown above and our beautiful Yamaha Electric Cello. We have our own power pack so do not require any electricity from the venue.
