Today was a local wedding for us – relatively speaking at least. Just over the border into Gloucestershire from our Wiltshire based home was Zoe and George’s wedding at Prestbury Church near Cheltenham.

Our brief was to provide music for the beautiful ceremony of Zoe and George as well as Jules playing the organ to accompany the hymns.
Situated in the heart of Prestbury village, the worship at St Mary’s offers a variety of styles, from the quiet said Eucharist, to the lively informal Celebrate! service and our Sung Eucharist with robed choir, servers and incense.

Nevertheless this is all part of loving what we do as we delight in playing the music which the couple have chosen to enhance and make their special day even more memorable.
During the service there were two hymns to be played on the organ. Jerusalem and Lord of the Dance. For this Jules moved to the 2 manual church organ.

On this occasion we were only providing music for the ceremony but it was extremely well lead and the priest in charge gave a thought provoking sermon which was beautifully worded as he spoke to the couple. All too soon our involvement with Zoe and George’s wedding was over but we thoroughly enjoyed providing music in this stunning location and wish them every happiness in their future married lives together.
