Today we were privileged to provide music for the very stylish wedding of Isabella Mears and Tom Woods.
This fabulous couple, we are told, met at the Horse of the Year show in 2017. By 2022 they were engaged despite a few setbacks on the way. One of which was when Tom had planned to ask Isabella’s Father, Guy Mears, for her hand in marriage at a golf game, but the weather caused plans to change and the game to be rained off.
However get engaged they did, and it was very much our pleasure to be chosen to provide music not only for their ceremony at St James’s Church in Birstwith but then also for the drinks reception at Grantley Hall.
The Ceremony
Starting at St James’ Church in Birstwith, we provided music for the Bridal entrance as well as during the signing of the register.

As we were not playing for the couple exit we took the opportunity to sneak out the church so we could get a head start to Grantley Hall where we were providing music for the drinks reception.
Wedding Drinks Reception
Once at Grantley Hall we had just moments to manouvre our Piano Shell and instruments into position in the orangery so we could be playing music as Tom and Isabella’s guests arrived for the drinks reception.
Lugging PA systems around along with our instruments and the piano shell is the less glamorous part of our job which we try to ensure goes on unseen behind the scenes so we can provide beautiful music for the duration of your wedding day.
We really enjoyed being a part of this very stylish wedding and we wish Isabella and Tom every happiness in their married life together.
