Ceremony and Drinks
This was our first visit to Greenway Hotel and Spa just on the outskirts of Cheltenham and we received a lovely warm welcome from their wedding planner Louise.
The Wedding Ceremony
This was an intimate wedding with just a dozen or so guests plus the bride and groom and so there was plenty of space for us to set up at the rear of the ceremony room.
The guests started to gather at 2pm which was our cue to begin playing. Emma had chosen some lovely songs for us to play and entertain the guests pre ceremony with a specific request that we play Wonderful World just before she entered. We had timed everything to perfection allowing 4 minutes for this but the registrars decided to start early with their announcements. Nevertheless we did manage to sneak in a quick go of the theme which we hope Emma heard whilst outside just before she came in!
Music for the Ceremony
Pre Ceremony
I’m Kissing You
A Thousand Years
Make You Feel My Love
Can’t Help Falling In Love
What A Wonderful World (last song before entrance of bride please)
Bridal Entrance
Canon in D – Brooklyn Duo arrangement
Signing
Baby I’m Yours – Artic Monkeys
Hoppipolla
Exit
Bittersweet Symphony – The Verve
The Drinks Reception
After the ceremony we swiftly relocated to the bar area next door. The drinks reception was initially outside but we decided with the temperature not matching the glorious sunshine, we would be best playing indoors but by some open patio doors. This plan worked rather well as true enough after half an hour the guests returned indoors!
For the drinks reception Emma and Tom had chosen a lovely mix of songs for us to play and their guests to enjoy which included:
Fly Me To The Moon
Nobody Does it Better
Together in Electric Dreams
Wonderwall
The Cave – Mumford & Sons
Dreams – Fleetwood Mac
You’ve Got The Love
All Of Me – John Legend
Here Comes The Sun – The Beatles
All You Need Is Love – The Beatles
A Million Dreams – Greatest Showman
Feel The Love – Rudimental
Sweet Disposition
All too soon the guests were being called through to the meal which was our cue to pack away. We really enjoyed being part of this delightfully intimate cotswold wedding. We wish Emma and Tom every happiness as they embark on their married life together.
