Today we returned to Gaynes Park in Essex which is a stunning barn wedding venue just on the outskirts of Epping and just off the M25.

Ceremony and Drinks Package
We love providing music for couples who get married at Gaynes Park and it was our privilege to return to Gaynes Park today to provide music for Lorna and Patrick’s wedding ceremony and drinks reception.
The Wedding Ceremony
Starting with the ceremony we set up at the rear of the ceremony space as requested in the orangery. There was talk of us then moving outside for the drinks reception which is easy enough. However, on this occasion the weather had other ideas! But fortunately the advantage of Gaynes Park is the ceremony and drinks are held in the same space. In the event of changeable weather we can just open the windows and our music can be heard both indoors and outside.

We were particularly delighted to play a song for Lorna’s Mother’s entrance. She had wanted to be part of the bridal prep which is totally understandable but also didn’t want to walk in at the last minute in silence and be the centre of attention. To be fair we never leave silence when we are playing before a ceremony (unless specifically asked to do so). But even so with a little planning and confirming with the wedding planner and registrars we managed to orchestrate it so we effectively played the MOB up the aisle so it created a sense of occasion for her ahead of Lorna’s entrance with her flower girl and maid of honour.
The Drinks Reception
As we were able to remain in position for the drinks reception we could continue providing music seamlessly and moved into our set for the reception. Some of the songs which Lorna and Patrick had specifically requested were:

We really enjoyed being a part of this wedding and going back to Gaynes Park. Lorna and Patrick are a lovely couple. Just as we were leaving we managed to get a picture with them before they headed in to their wedding breakfast. We also watched the photographer set up a lovely shot with the help of Georgina the wedding co-ordinator.
