Today after a few hours at home in the Cotswolds, we were back on the road again and this time to the delightful Peak Edge Hotel just outside of Chesterfield. Setting off in the early hours, we got to Chesterfield mid morning and found a nice cafe on the outskirts of the town for a spot of breakfast before making our way to Peak Edge Hotel for the wedding.

Ceremony Only
Today, rather like our previous visit to Peak Edge the weather was decidedly iffy but the various weather apps seemed to agree there would be no rain around the time of the ceremony and so we duly set up outside. Today the weather turned out to behave and although a little overcast it wasn’t that cold and there was no rain so everything went ahead outside as planned.

Bridal Entrance
The arrival of the Queen of Sheba while the Bridesmaids walk down the aisle blended into A Million Dreams for the bride.
It turned out Sarah’s mum had often joked about having the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba. In the end she decided just to have the first 30 seconds. But for Jules this was a great choice as it is something he often used to play on the organ for weddings back in the days when he wasn’t as grey as now!

Sarah and Alan really wanted the words to the exit song so this was played on the venue sound system with us adding harmony alongside the original track. This is something we can very easily do and have done for the occasional bridal entrance, exit song or even first dance as a way of enhancing the original track.
We really enjoyed being a small part of Sarah and Alan’s wedding at the Peak Edge Hotel and wish them every happiness for their married future together.
