Despite living in the Cotswolds, we don’t often get the chance to play for a wedding in Oxfordshire. So it was lovely to head out via Bibury to make our way the short distance to Caswell House near Bride Norton.

Dating back to the 15th Century this is a place steeped in history, and holds a captivating beauty all of its own, with original honey coloured Cotswold Stone Buildings, an Ancient Orchard, and sumptuous, elegantly styled bedrooms for those who wish to stay.
Wedding Ceremony
Starting in the ceremony room, we were inside for the first part of today’s wedding. Positioned at the back of the beautiful ceremony room, Hazel had chosen some lovely music to be played whilst guests arrived to take their seats.

Moving on to the wedding ceremony, Hazel had been very specific about when the Bridesmaids and the Bride would enter. She had chosen a lovely song by Calum Scott and there was a plan for the Bridesmaids to enter after approximately 20 seconds of music being played which then meant Hazel could enter as the main chorus was played.

Wedding Drinks Reception
After the ceremony we then moved a short distance outside to carry on playing during the wedding drinks reception. First of course there was the usual confetti shot and so we used this time to move our instruments and set up on the corner of the patio where the venue had kindly provided us with an umbrella as shade from the sun.
